ASTRONOMY PROJECT PRINTOUT

OPTION I
GROUP WORK:
      Each member will contribute towards the power point and choose one additional activity to complete and present.
 1.  A Power Point presentation on topic.
       -  Must be aligned with the outline.
       -  Must have two slides per group member.
       -  Deductions will occur for hard to read slides due to font or background, spelling errors or           information not covered in outline.
  2.  Informational Outline.
       -  Covering information on topic and in align with the ppt
 3. Detailed Poster to show topic.
       -  Must be in color.
       -  Must support information already supported.
       -  Must have pictures,  taking up most of the space with a small amount of information to               assist.
  4a.  A Poem covering information on your topic.
       -  Must have minimum of 10 lines.
               [10 lines-70%, 12 lines-80%, 15 lines-90% 18 lines- 100%]
  4b. A Song covering information on your topic.
       -  Must include your own lyrics and a chorus.
       -  Must have a minimum of three stanza’s and a chorus
               [3stanza’s-70%, 4stanza’s-8%, 5 stanza’s-90%, 5 stanza’s-100%]
  5a.  Story board/Comic strip of information relating to your topic.
       -  Must have 6 frame minimum 
  5b. A children’s book covering information on your topic.
       -  Must have 8 page minimum

OPTION II
INDIVIDUAL WORK:

Choose one activity from the following options.
1. Travel Brochure
      -  Must visit at least 4 locations.
      -  Must have in-depth description of each destination (size, distance, surface, weather and gravity).
      -  Must have activities, on board and at each stop (related to specific stop) that should be              educational and fun.
      -  Must include the cost and length of the trip.
      -  Must be a tri-fold format, with all panels used with information and pictures. [Appealing for enticing          customers.]
2.  New Galaxy Creation
- Must explain the formation, type and elements within your galaxy.
- Must explain gravity, time and relationship of parts within.
- Must have some type of life form somewhere and its adaptations for survival.
-Must have information and poster to summarize what was learned.
3.  Web Quest
- Choose from one that I have already approved of. 
Chemistry of Stars
Chemistry of Planets
Chemistry of Comets, Asteroids & Meteors
- Choose another that must be approved by the teacher.
- Must have complete answers and a small poster to summarize what was learned.

ALL work is expected to be neat and clean with correct spelling and grammar. Time and effort will be recognized.
